The BEST house in South Lake Tahoe (our subjective commentary from past ski lease members from the last 5 years going on 6)!

This is our sixth year running a ski lease at this great house with many members returning from past years. Each year we take feedback and make improvements, etc. We have a few recent improvements: remodeled living room and opened up kitchen (we removed a wall to make it more accessible). We run a drama free lease and we like it that way.

A little about the house:
+ 2200sq ft two story house
+ Six (6) person private hot tub (maintained as part of the lease)

+ 52" widescreen TV

+ Classic arcade games: Gauntlet Dark Legacy, Ms. Pacman, Rampage and Pacman cocktail table.

+ Full laundry facilities
+ Secure storage for skis and snowboard (limited)
+ 5 Bedrooms (8 beds, 1 futon couch with 15 person spaces not including that full 'L' leather couch and room for blow up beds) and 3 full baths

Location:
+ 730 Stanford Ave., South Lake Tahoe , CA (check it out!)
+ 4.0 miles to Stateline, 3.5 miles to Heavenly and .25 mile from the meadow (awesome snowshoeing)

About the lease/cost:
+ Number of people: ~14/15 people full members
+ The lease will run for ~ 5 months, from (maybe sooner or later if conditions warrant) December 1st, 2010 through April 23rd, 2011
+ $1050 per individual or $975 for person for two people/couple (a $150 savings)

+ Utility deposit: $200* per person to cover regularly scheduled cleanings, hot tub upkeep, internet access, cable, snow removal, heat and electricity, trash removal, etc. (*The deposit is partially refundable based on available surplus at the end of the ski lease. Last season the rebates were over ~$140 per person.)

+ Guest fees: $30 per person per night (with 100% of guest fees offsetting your utility costs)

Most importantly, the people:
+ All professionals in late-20s to late-30s
+ Serious skiers and snowboarders - less of a party crowd/more of a serious ski crowd (this is the wrong house if you are looking for huge party please move on)
+ All repeat & potential members will be asked to meet with us/group in the area to chat and get to know each other
+ We strongly encourage friends to join together as well as couples

+ Thursday, Sept 9th in San Mateo @ 7PM

Less than a mile down the hill to the lake. Tahoe City is 5 minutes away with great restaurants, bars, movie theatre and shops. Kings Beach is 10 minutes the other direction with lots to do! Only 15 minutes to Squaw Valley (ice skating, mtn biking, swimming, ropes course, disc golf, horseback riding, free movie night on Th), Northstar (roller skating, mtn biking, S'more fire pits, free movies Th - Sat) and Alpine Meadows for biking. Multiple sunny beaches within 5 - 15 minutes. Casinos are 15 - 20 minutes away as well if you want to gamble.
